Sarah
Hello, I’m Sarah. I have been a Clinical Psychologist for 15 years. I have had the privilege of working in the NHS for that time, working with people of all ages and backgrounds experiencing the full range of difficulties humans face.
Since I was about 12, I have wanted to help people feel better. In my 20s, this meant learning everything I could learn about therapy and models and treatment and chucking it all at a situation (or person). In recent years, I have come to realise that the most important thing I can chuck at a situation (or person) is a desire to truly understand what’s going on for them and an unwavering belief that, with some love and cheerleading, most people can come to know what they need to do…and can do it for themselves.
I have come together with two brilliantly dynamic and creative Clinical Psychologists to set up a small private practice – GLC. As you’ve seen from the info on the landing page, our aim is to offer you access to meaningful discussions, at the right time, that lead to change. I am interested in working with people in all sorts of situations. I have a particular interest in the specific challenges and opportunities that arise when you become a parent. Psychology has much to offer here, but sadly this often simple, yet powerful, information is not available to people when it might really make a difference. Whatever your situation, I am looking forward to coming up with a little plan together.
